The University of Texas at Austin Association of Latino Professionals for America (ALPFA) offers an exceptional platform for students aiming for professional success. Each year, the National ALPFA hosts a thrilling national convention, whisking members away to exciting locations where they can connect with over 100 top-tier companies. This convention offers a unique chance to network, learn, and explore potential career paths on a grand scale.

Within UT ALPFA, our Professional Development Department curates a series of impactful events, including the esteemed Business Networking Dinner and Ready Set Go workshops. These events are designed to hone members' professionalism, equipping them with the skills and confidence needed to excel in their chosen fields.

Event Highlights
Women of ALPFA is a mentorship program that creates a welcoming space for meaningful conversations with professionals in a relaxed, supportive setting. As a mentee, you’ll gain valuable career insights on topics like landing a job, finding your place within a company, and growing professionally.
Lunchamigos is a community-building program designed to help members form closer connections within our organization. Participants are placed in small groups of 2–3 people and encouraged to share a meal together once a month.
General meetings will be held every-other Wednesday from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Every meeting features a presentation from one of our corporate sponsors, information about our upcoming events, and free food. You don't want to miss out!
Professional Mentorship Program (PMP) is designed to connect members with experienced professionals who once stood where you are now. Through one-on-one mentorship, participants gain valuable early-career insights, guidance on professional growth, and advice on navigating academic and career decisions. PMP creates a supportive space to ask questions, build meaningful connections, and learn directly from someone who understands your journey.
Intramural Games is a fun and active program that brings members together through friendly sports competition. Participants can join scheduled games throughout the season, with matches typically held on Sundays at 3 PM. The program encourages teamwork, school spirit, and a healthy balance between academics and recreation. Members can also express interest in additional sports, making this a great opportunity to stay active while building connections within the organization.
ALPFA Convention is a premier national event that brings together Latino professionals and students for an inspiring and career-focused experience. Held over multiple days, the convention features dynamic workshops, leadership development sessions, and networking opportunities with Fortune 500 companies. Centered on themes such as agency, discipline, and disruption, the event is designed to empower attendees to grow both personally and professionally.
Noche de Juegos is a social event that brings ALPFA members together for a fun evening of games, connection, and community building. Participants will have the chance to engage with fellow members in a relaxed, friendly atmosphere while competing in games for the opportunity to win a scholarship. It’s a great way to unwind, meet new people, and enjoy a lively night with the ALPFA familia.
